Test your knowledge with the Foreign Ministry’s Estonia-themed quiz and win a free trip for two to Estonia!
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched its annual Estonia-themed quiz with two grand prizes of a trip for two to Estonia.
To participate in the drawing, all 12 questions must be answered on the quiz’s web page or via the Facebook App. Everyone is encouraged to test their knowledge until May 31, but residents and citizens of Estonia cannot participate in the drawing. The winners will be announced no later than June 9.
The main prize – a trip for two to Estonia – includes airfare, accommodation in the best hotels, dinners in fine restaurants and a selection of leisure activities. One of the main prizes will be drawn from those who answered in English, and the other from amongst the Russian language respondents. In addition, two Estonian package holidays will be drawn, which do not include flights. The winner can use Lux Express busses for travel to and from Estonia. All of the prizes have been provided by the tourism sector.
The English language quiz’s grand prize is a six-day package tour that includes airfare for two to Estonia and from any destination where Nordica flies, overnight stays at the Schlössle and Three Sisters hotels in Tallinn, dinner at the Hermitage restaurant and numerous excursions and free tickets. In addition, the winner may choose between a two-day outing to Pärnu, with an overnight stay at the Ammende Villa; or to Kuressaare, with an overnight stay at the Ekesparre Boutique Hotel.
The winner of the Russian-language quiz will receive two tickets to Estonia provided by Estravel, accommodation at the L’Ermitage and Radisson Blu Sky Hotels in Tallinn, and dinner at the Ribe restaurant. In addition to a range of entertainment options, the winner may choose either a two-day outing to Pärnu, with overnight stay at the Estonia Resort Hotel & Spa, or to Kuressaare, with overnight stay at the Arensburg Hotel.
This is the 21st time that the Foreign Ministry has organised the quiz introducing Estonia. The aim is to introduce Estonia to participants; motivate them to seek more information about Estonia, and to visit Estonia. Over the years, there has been great interest in the quiz. Last year, a total of close to 8,000 people took part from 130 countries.
